Glass break sensors and detection

When it comes to protecting your home or business, having sensors for your windows or glass areas, such as doors, can be very beneficial. If you have contact sensors on all of your doors & windows it will alert the system when the door or window is open.

Although if a burglar were to smash through the glass of your door or window, the sensor would never trigger, because it hasn’t actually been opened. That’s when a glass break sensor would come into play.

Broken glass is often associated with smash & grab burglaries at businesses. However, homes are also subject to broken glass. If a door has a glass panel, a burglar may smash it to reach in and get the door unlocked. Luckily the door contact would then trigger.

Sliding glass doors are a very vulnerable glass entry point…

Some might argue that glass break detection is one of the most important parts of a security system.

Here’s how it works:

Glass break detection technology uses a sensor that monitors for the sound and vibrations of breaking glass.

Glass break detectors add an extra layer of protection and guard against criminals that would break a window or glass door to gain entry into your home.

Door and window contacts are a necessary & important aspect of security but could be easily bypassed if a burglar were to smash through a window.

With door & window contacts along with glass break detectors there is no way for a burglar to get around your security system
